I've been given a task to find some issues in the letters wrote by J C Friedrich Von Schiller's "Letters Upon The Aesthetic Education Of Man",he gives the philosphic basis for his doctrine of art,and indicates clearly and persuasively his view of the place of beauty in human life.This critical and sublime critique,was written for Danish Prince,Friedrich Christian of Schleswig-Holstein-augustenburg,on the subject of aesthetic education.
From the very beginning we must clarify the issue of aesthetic in the work of Friedrich Schiller.Why it is purposed?cause of the assertions philosopher makes regarding this issue are based of Kant principles.Why Friedrich Shiller convey that the education of feeling is the most important necessity?Means to improve our judgement and understanding in life.And at any point,he said that improvement in the fill of politic,we must have one that called noble of the character,and the thing most ready to this aim is the art of beautiful.
In the first paragraph,there is sublime point that Schiller encounter "What is true moral experience must be true,in a still higher degree,of the manifestation of Beauty."Firstly,what he is mean by 'moral experience'?and what he is mean by the concept of 'Beauty'?It is same as he wrote Nature as Beauty?and what connection in both meaning?In my point of view,Beauty is the common object of the reason and experience and the best word through the concept of nature.'Moral experience' is to take the matter to the form of humanity,and at the same time showing the direction to goodness and truth.
In the second lettter Aesthetic Education of Man,Friedrich Schiller mention the idea that "to arrive at a solution even in the political problem,the road of aesthetic must be persued",considering that the principe of aesthetic must be followed,if we want to solved the political problem and edificeof true political freedom represents the most acomplished of the works of art.So,trough the beauty of moral can provide a better world in Schiller's opinion in line "trough Beauty that we arrive at Freedom.".This can only be demonstrated if we first know the principles by which reason is guided in political legislation.
There is another interesting point out by Schiller in the third letter "Nature begins with Man no better than with the rest of her works".What does he mean by 'Nature'?What common peoples always think and their view when they first time see the value of particular artsworks by amazing people.And what of philosopher like Schiller will think and critics about the Beauty.So the particular reason and connection,Schiller wants expressed the concept of beauty with his phillosophy.'Nature' is what we preffering by existing.We all know from all different view of religious that our nature created by GOD.So what Schiller want to said that 'Nature bigins with Man' is our nature or world as Man,'no better than with the rest of her works' means by GOD of his believed.Schillers believe that he receive forms from nature,for nature is the one that unifies all things.
The issues in the fourth letter convey the phrases 'When the mechanical artist sets his hand to the formless block,'.which is show that mechanical artist does not appreciate and just according to his intention without any scruples.They did not give any respect to nature and only just for itself.Schiller also mention the difference with fine artist do their work to the same fill in the phrases 'When the fine artist sets his hand to this same block,as little does he hesitate to do it violence' show that fine artist appreciate and just doing without any violence to it nature.Even though,he does not respect the thing on his work any more than mechanical artist,his eyes take the simple and slightest matter also and want it free.i assume that Schiller want every ones has to respect their object,not as an object but as the part us in itself.Thats how when we want to appreciate something called beauty.
In the fifth letter, i did find its states that philosopher against political artist of their different view towards beauty and arts.In the opinions of Philosophers,they state that when arts peoples break or against the rule and law, they will fell guilty about it.Different from the high profile of peoples,they don't want to admit it because to avoid their standards and ego down.To them,image and high profile are very important.
My opinions above may sound weak and not accurate because,like Schiller,i just give out all my own opinion and try to avoid specifics.I dont want to palce myself to the criticism of historical example.
For the conlusion can i make that an aesthetic education can is purely historical education because teaching us how many visions there are heve been and finally to choose.An aesthetic education will ultimately teach uswhat is right to reach.And also we can provide civilizationz and citizens as perfect as we can imagine.A clarification that the philosopher considers regarding beauty as a rational concept and necessary true connection of beauty as a freedom.
